Now vs. Time
Now vs. Time
“Every single moment is available to slip into the sweet presence of NOW” JMason
“I don’t have enough time.” How many times have you said this yourself? How many times have you heard these words? This common phrase is a common response ingrained in our culture, it is not a common phrase in many other cultures. Why? Because of our perception of time and the way we think. A common misconception about time is that it is some sort of linear reality that we are all subjected to. This leads to unnecessary tension, anxiety, pressure, etc. Einstein’s theory of relativity states that time and space are not as constant as everyday life would suggest. If we were to adjust the way that we think and perceive time, to be in alignment with reality, we would be able to adjust our experience in this life outside of the confined and wrong views of a linear timeline. A simple adjustment of taking our minds out of the projections of past and future while keeping still and centered in the presence of NOW. I have heard someone refer to this in an excellent manner. Every person lives in 1 of these 3 states at any given ‘time’ and it is up to us to choose which state to live in. The 3 options are the past, the future or NOW. Living in the state of Now releases us from the illusion of linear thinking and opens the doorway to a more timeless reality. I have found that it takes no-time to make these mental adjustments. Take 2-5 seconds for a mental adjustment throughout your day; take 5 minutes before a class, test, study etc. These adjustments affect our state of being in such a way that we start to see more clearly and are then able to take control of how we live our lives instead having our lives dictate how we live.
